It’s An OP Song, desu

26 February, 2008

I thought I might as well post my favourite anime OPs. Bear in mind that they’re my favourites because of their animation sequences, as well as the songs.

I’ve had to remove a couple of videos because they were “unavailable”, even though they can still be watched on YouTube. Must be some douche stopping me from embedding a video that doesn’t belong to them in the first place.

Each anime seems to be in a genre of it’s own, except I have two magical girl anime OPs in that list. Both shows have great other OPs. Perhaps magical girl shows tend to have great OPs.

In other news, I got an XBox 360 yesterday, and I’m playing Mass Effect and Dead or Alive 4. More on those later.

Stuff To Add

23 February, 2008

Lately I’ve had writer’s block, but I’ll continue to write stuff because I know how much you like my blog.

I’ve decided to get myself an X-Box 360. The first game I’m going to get is Mass Effect because I want to get into RPGs, and the fantasy RPG market is saturated enough as it is with just Final Fantasy; never mind any other fantasy RPGs. After that I’ll probably get Dead or Alive 4. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Just don’t recommend Halo 3. I don’t care about it. Last weekend I also got Tales of Symphonia. It’s been quite a nice game so far, and surpasses the Final Fantasy series, and it’s not stuck up it’s own arse! That’ll probably take up most of my gaming time until No More Heroes and Apollo Justice are out.

Speaking of Tales of Symphonia, I watched the first OVA of the anime. It seems quite nice and follows most of the story and events that I’ve been through so far in the game. I am worried about how they expect to fit such a long RPG into only four 30 minute episodes. I’ve also watched episode 1 of both Pumpkin Scissors and Kurau Phantom Memory. Pumpkin Scisssors looks promising already, so I’m definitely going to look into it soon. Kurau Phantom Memory looks OK, but that’ll take a low priority amongst the anime I want to watch.

Naked Hero and Magical Android

18 February, 2008

This weekend I got to watch Kekko Kamen and Re: Cutey Honey which are both works of Go Nagai.

I suggest you check out either of these because they’re pretty damn funny. I got to watch New Cutey Honey, which is older than Re: Cutey Honey, but I didn’t enjoy it much. The fact that it’s old doesn’t bother me. It was just boring. Anyway, of the two, I recommend Re: Cutie Honey. Just make sure you leave your sense of good taste at the door.
